Terms & Conditions
1. Service Booking
- Deposit required to secure your date and time
- Final payment due upon completion unless otherwise arranged
- Confirm the final guest count 48 hours before the event
2. Event Requirements
- Host provides a safe, level cooking surface with proper ventilation
- Electrical outlets must be within a reasonable distance
- Offer enough space for chef equipment and movement
- Keep children and pets away from the cooking area for safety
3. Payment Terms
- We accept cash payments only
- Full payment is due at the end of service
- Gratuities are appreciated but not included in pricing
- Raise payment disputes within 24 hours of service completion
4. Chef Conduct and Responsibilities
- Chefs arrive on time and execute the agreed-upon menu
- They maintain professional cleanliness and food safety standards
- Share dietary restrictions in advance so we can accommodate them
5. Property Damage Liability Waiver
- Hibachi Lit is not responsible for any property damage to the host or guests
- "Property damage" includes harm to real or personal property at the venue
- The host and guests waive claims for loss, damage, or destruction
- They fully release the catering service from liability before, during, and after the event
6. Cancellation & Weather Policy
- Cancel or reschedule 48 hours ahead to receive a deposit refund
- Less than 48 hours' notice keeps the deposit but it can be applied to another booking
- The cancellation policy admits no exceptions
- If rain is forecast, provide shelter (tent, patio, etc.) so the chef can cook safely
7. Force Majeure
- We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our control
- This includes natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or transportation failures
- In such events we attempt to reschedule or offer alternatives
- Deposits are refunded or applied to future bookings at the client's choice
